Greg Myers, Ph.D., M.Sc., CEO and President

  • Professional Geologist with 30 years of experience in the mining industry specializing in base and precious metal deposits.

  • From 1988 to 1989, worked as Project Manager for Westmont Mining supervising the completion of its pre-feasibility work on the Mount Hamilton gold mine in Nevada.

  • Between 1990 and 1996 was Regional Manager for Phelps Dodge in Mexico, managing exploration and personnel, evaluating projects and identifying exploration targets.

  • From 1996 to 2000, President, CEO, and Project Manager for RAM Minerals, a junior mining exploration company, responsible for 15 wholly-owned and joint venture projects in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

  • Served as Project Development Manager from 2000 to 2003, for BHP Billiton’s Tintya mine in Peru. In that capacity, Mr. Myers, significantly increased corporate assets by expanding the mine resource significantly, improving department efficiency, reducing operating costs and, improving productivity.

  • Between 2003 to 2006 worked as a consulting geologist for clients such as; BHP Billiton, Newmont, Coeur, Quincy Energy, Vena Resources, EMC, and, Waymark/Zacoro, responsible for indentifying acquisitions, regulatory reporting, and project evaluations.

  • In 2007, as COO, & Vice President Exploration for Zacoro Metals, was responsible for property acquisitions, the re-starting of mine operations, and planning and overseeing exploration and development, which increased the company’s resource from 15 million to 80 million tonnes.

  • From 2007 to 2008 acted as consulting geologist for IMA Exploration identifying and completing the acquisition of IMA’s Island Copper project and then developing, budgets, work program, and definition of drill targets.

  • Prior to joining Canarc, was Vice President Business Development, Pacific Northwest Capital, President of Mystery Creek Resources and Project Manager/Consulting Geologist for Fire River Gold Corp. Responsibilities as VP Business Development, included the acquisition of the Nixon Fork mine and Golden Zone projects. In addition, as Project Manager and President of the company holding the property responsibilities included all aspects of the corporate development program.


Philip Yee, Director,

  • Certified general accountant with MBA degree and 16 years experience in corporate management, regulatory reporting, accounting, auditing and taxation.

  • Achieved professional accreditations as CPA, CGA, CMA, CMC, CIA and CFE.

  • From 1988 to 1997, worked as accountant/controller/treasurer/partner for Canadian Connection Group, Can-Chi Group and Corporate House, responsible for all accounting, reporting and management functions of several private and public companies.

  • Between 1997 and 2003 acted as Controller to Augusta Group, overseeing all accounting and reporting activities for several resource development companies.

  • Has acted as Finance Manager and Controller for Canarc Resource Corp. and Endeavour Silver Corp. since 2003.

Bradford Cooke, M.Sc., P.Geo., Chairman of the Board

  • Professional geologist with 28 years experience in the mining industry, specializing in the discovery and development of mineral deposits.

  • B.Sc. Geology degree (Honors), Queens University, Kingston ON, 1976

  • M.Sc. Geology degree, University of British Columbia, Vancouver BC, 1984.

  • From 1976 to 1982, worked as project geologist managing mineral exploration programs looking for uranium, base metals and precious metals across Canada for Noranda Mines, Shell Minerals and Chevron Minerals.

  • Between 1983 and 1987, owned and operated Cooke Geological Consultants Ltd., discovering and developing several high grade gold vein deposits for clients in British Columbia.

  • In 1988, launched Canarc Resource Corp. and has overseen its growth since that time, acquiring, financing, exploring and developing gold mining properties throughout North, Central and South America.

  • Has successfully raised over CA$100 million in equity and joint venture financings for resource projects since 1988.

  • Involved in several grass roots gold discoveries over the past 20 years.

  • Published several geological/geochemical papers in leading technical journals.

  • Member in good standing of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, The Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, the B.C.- Yukon Chamber of Mines, and a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada.


Anthony Hawkshaw, Director

  • Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Ryerson University.

  • Since 2007 to present, was a director of Rio Alto Mining S.A.C.

  • From 2005 to 2007, was the CFO of Grove Energy Limited, a London and Toronto listed oil and gas development company.

  • In 2004, was the CFO of Chariot Resources Limited for a period of 12 months.

  • Prior to Chariot, Mr. Hawkshaw was CFO of Pan American Silver Corp. from 1995 to 2003.

  • More than 25 years experience in the mining industry in countries including Canada, the United States, Mexico, Russia and Peru.

  • Has extensive experience in the marketing of metals in refined and concentrate form and in metals trading.

  • He has arranged numerous debt, equity and convertible debt financings with institutional investors, commercial banks and multilateral lending agencies.

  • Has been a director of Statesman Resources Ltd. since July 19, 2006.


Stewart Lockwood, L.L.B., M.B.A. — Director, Secretary and Legal Counsel

  • Securities lawyer with 20 years experience in corporate and securities law.

  • M.B.A. degree, London School of Business, London UK, 1985.

  • L.L.B. degree, Osgood Hall Law School, Toronto ON, 1983.

  • From 1985 to 1991, practical corporate and securities law with Weiler, Maloney, Nelson and Sobolewski, Anfield, then acted as listings officer with Vancouver Stock Exchange, reviewing public company listings, filings, prospectus offerings, financings, mergers, take-overs, splits, consolidations, re-organizations, etc.

  • Between 1992 and 2000, was in-house legal counsel, corporate secretary and General Manager for Canarc Resource Corp. and related companies, responsible for all corporate, securities and legal matters including regulatory filings, prospectus offerings, private placements, information circulars, annual reports, option and benefit plans, offshore subsidiaries, various contracts, computer systems and office leases.

  • Since 2001, partner in Vector Law Limited Partnership and Vector Corporate Finance Lawyers, providing full service legal advice specializing in corporate and securities law.


Gregg Wilson, M.SCI. — Manager, Investor Relations

  • Investor Relations professional with over 10 years experience and an extensive background in administration, and management.

  • Received Masters degree in 1984 from Maharishi University of Management.

  • Completed the certified Canadian Securities Course in 2001.

  • Joined Canarc in 2002 to manage investor relations and marketing and subsequently developed initial IR programs for Endeavour Silver Corp.

  • Prior to joining Canarc, held positions as Vice-President of Governors Technologies Inc., a proprietary oil technology firm and with Unity Petroleum Inc., a Canadian Oil and Gas exploration company focused on discovering and exploiting natural gas pools in Western Canada.
